SURFACE PATTERN
Having created the Absolut Elyx Pineapple of Hospitality device, I felt it belonged to something much bigger. Thus I developed the bespoke Absolut Elyx Cocktail Damask pattern. The step and repeat design features traditional damask elements interwoven with iconic items of cocktail and barware... Julep and hawthorn strainers become leafy flower heads, the brands 'one source' wheat and water are championed and citrus twists dance around cocktail stirrers.

The often copper foiled pattern has gone on to feature on packaging and promotional materials as well as adorning the walls of the Elyx House in the Hollywood Hills.

The popularity of the bespoke Absolut Elyx Cocktail (or Pineapple) Damask pattern has lead to the production of several alternative designs. This example shows the Absolut Elyx copper foiled 'Mermaid Damask' as a sketch design work in progress. All of our patterns begin this way, being hand drawn before converted to outline artwork digitally. The Absolut Elyx Mermaid Damaks features on the walls of the boutique Wiki Woo Hotel in Ibiza.
